“You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book. My enemies will retreat when I call to you for help. This I know: God is on my side!”

(Psalm 56:8-9)

Dear Woman you’re desperate for God to move in your life, or want Him to show you which direction to take; It’s easy to get discouraged while you are waiting for God to answer your prayers. Often times you wonder if this journey is worth it, but the Psalmist tells us, “When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul.” (Psalm 94:19).

As a woman pursuing her purpose in God desperately seeking the way to live out the greatness inside of me, awaken with the reality that God had created me for so much more.Learning to press through the challenges and difficulties of life, and to live a Purpose filled life in God. To become a woman of purpose, I had to let go of myself-sufficiency and trust God’s plan for my life. I have struggled with accepting that my path is different from family and friends. I would Fight with God and complain that He is taking too long to answer my prayers. It feels like everyone is progressing in life, but me. I get tired of people asking me the same old questions “When are you getting married? When are you are going to have children?”

As if all these things will complete the assignment God set for me here on earth. Though these questions would get to me and sometimes want to take me off balance, I am constantly reminded and upheld by the book of (Philippians 4:19) “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His Glory in Christ Jesus.” I know that I am complete in God and I am assured that He will in His time supply all my needs.

Often times we limit God’s capacity and ability to the situations we see. Because we are desperate, we sometimes want God’s response in actions to be quicker and when this doesn’t happen, we begin to limit His ability and capacity to help us. But I tell you today, that God can meet all your needs; be it intellectual, academic, financial, emotional, health or material need. God will meet all your needs. You have to learn to listen to the still quiet voice saying “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10), listen to His voice. Realize the Lord is in control of your life, not man. Stop focusing your energy on what naysayers have to say about your future, and rely only on God’s plans for you.

  1. Such a wonderful reminder that what God says about us is what really matters. His Word won’t return to us void. Isaiah 55:8-9
